PLEASE – TO THE LADY who took my almost new black zippered winter boots from the Lost & Found Box at the Community Centre between 10:30 – 1:30 Monday Dec. 17, if you or your child need those boots more than I do please keep them. However, PLEASE return the custom made, expensive black orthotics that were inside the boots. I need them back, they are expensive and difficult to replace! You can leave them at the Community Centre Office or in the Lost & Found box – we will check the box for them regularly. Thanks!! PS, FYI Those boots were left at the Centre on Saturday night and put into the L&F box Monday morning for me to pick up – when I got there they had gone. They were NOT free giveaways. Thanks - A Senior Lady with bad feet.

Hungry Eye Trivia: A Brand New Year1. January was named after Janus, the Roman God “of the doorway.” Janus was represented as wearing what item?2. Lots of people get sick in January. Good thing it’s national _______ month!3. In many places, the coming of the new year is celebrated by singing the traditional Scottish song “Auld Lang Syne.” What does “auld lang syne” mean?
1. A two-faced mask signifying beginnings and endings.
2. Soup
3. “Times gone by.” The confusion over the song is arguably almost as much of a tradition as the song itself. Auld Lang Syne is about remembering friends from the past and not letting them be forgotten.
