THE 2013 FISHERIES DRAWING

COMPETITION.

WHY IS IMPORTANT TO PROTECT OUR FISHERIES?

From ancient times, fishing has been a major source of food for humanity and a provider of employment and economic benefits for millions of people.

Eating fish is a healthy nutritional part of a balanced diet but making sure fish can continue to be available to all long into the future takes informed choices by all of us.

Fishery is an important activity for maintaining the livelihoods of millions of people around the world.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The International Drawing Competition is open to ALL

children and young people from 6 to 20 years of age.

JUST TWO CONDITIONS FOR PARTICPATING

Drawings should reflect issues concerning the importance of responsible fisheries.

Drawings should be on white A4-size or letter-size paper in the round or square frames.

AND THE PRIZE IS… • Drawings could be used for making small badges and large posters!•US$250 to the winner of each age group (6-10, 11-15 and 16-20 years old).• US$150 will to the runner up of each age group and.•US$100 will be awarded to the third best drawing of each age group.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?

The deadline for submitting your drawings is

30 November 2012.
