Bible Bowl Virtual After 41 years of hosting Bible Bowl, Sycamore hosted its first ever Bi-ble Bowl Virtual! All numbers were not turned in, but we did have 29 congregations who registered. This included 368 participants and 107 teams. Many more were involved, but we do not know the final tally. We thank all those young people from Sycamore who toughed it out through the quarantine time to participate this year: Maya Shepherd Jaycee Mangrum Taelor Ray Haylee Greenfield Shelby Barker Archer Shepherd Logan Jefcoat Chloe Reeves Alex Rush Sadie Mattson Drew Mattson Owen Jefcoat Tanner Shepherd Lauren Greenfield Ashley Thrasher Carter Mattson Luke Jefcoat Roman Ray Molly Jefcoat Ellie Shepherd
Our Young Achievers were Haylee Greenfield, Chloe Reeves, Lauren Greenfield, and Roman Ray. Our 5-Year Participants were Sadie Mattson, Archer Shepherd, and Ashley Thrasher. Our 10-Year Partici-pant was Tanner Shepherd. We are very proud of ALL our young people who studied God’s Word so diligently for Bible Bowl! We thank Don Fox for organizing the committee to coordinate this event this year. We thank Horace Burks and Gary Fox for doing our questions. We thank Kevin Rush and Ryan Mattson for setting up the online virtual Bible Bowl. It was a different year, but another great year for Bible Bowl!
Marriage Retreat There will be a meeting for all those attending and any others who are interested on Wednesday night, Sept. 30, in the large classroom upstairs (first classroom past nursery). We will meet after our worship time. This annual retreat to enrich our marriages is November 13-15. The place is the gorgeous Winshape Retreat in Mount Berry, GA. The cost is $400 per couple, which includes lodging and ten meals. A $50 deposit is due to reserve your spot. The rooms are limited, so first-come first-serve. See Kevin for questions.
Secret Sisters We would like to thank Jackie Perry and Nancy Matthews for organizing our Secret Sisters! They did an excellent job! Jennifer Daughrity and Libby Daughrity will now be overseeing this ministry. It is time to begin another one! This is such a fun and uplifting ministry of which to be involved. Blank forms are located in the foyer, and there's a box availa-ble to turn the form in once you have it completed. The deadline to turn the form in is no later than Sunday, October 11. See Jennifer or Libby for questions. Please consider taking part in Secret Sisters!
Ministry Leaders If you missed the meeting, please contact Kevin on the details. We do
need any revisions to the Ministry Book by October 11. Kevin

Audio Visual Volunteers Needed
We need help running the new sound and video sys-tem for worship services. At every service we will need one person running the projector, one person running the sound system, and probably another person starting and ending the live stream. Please let Kevin Rush know if you would be willing to help with this!
Polishing the Pulpit Media Library
Sycamore has purchased an online resource that is accessible to the whole congregation .Go to watch.polishingthepulpit.com and you can view doz-ens of lessons from the most renown speakers in the brotherhood. Many of these are taken from past years of this annual lectureship in Pigeon Forge. It is a tre-mendous resource that is available to all our members. Please take advantage of these lessons that can teach great biblical principles and challenge your faith.
Mowing & Landscaping
We need several men to be on the landscaping list for the building. Ideally every week, 3 or more men would oversee the landscaping; which will include mowing, trim-ming, blowing off sidewalks and the parking lots and litter removal. At this time, this job may not require three men, but as the building process nears completion, 3 would be a good number. Weather permitting, we would like to see this done on Fridays or Saturdays. Please sign up on the attached link or see Kevin Rush if you have any ques-tions. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Sk8RkLQUylYB0L5rG2bvUTFoniQuQAffcbccWXoXVYM/edit?usp=sharing
Men’s Trap Shoot
All men of the congregation are invited to a Trap Shoot on October 24. Sign up on the bulletin board in the foyer if you plan on attending. More details later.
