Christine Visser, daughter of Daniel Benjamin Visser and Merle Veronica Ruytenberg. Born 6 April 1989. Brought up in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Born younger sister to Justine and Jean Joubert. Parents divorced 12 May 2004.

Mom re-married Christian Albertus Ruytenberg 7 August 2004. Baby sister Lisa was born 19 October 2004. That is the smaller picture. The bigger picture can be seen through a visual journey of the images in this autobiography.

My family is the proverbial egg that I was hatched from. Everything about who I am, both my nature and nurture comes from my family. Often in western society, we stray

far from our family and may not talk to them for years at a time. We may feel that we have nothing in common with them. We may choose to run away from our roots

because they are too painful to face. Ultimately however, our past holds the key to our future. If we do not face where we come from, we will have difficulty understanding

our present and future.
