SILENT COMMUNION 5-7 p.m. DECEMBER 24, 2016
You and your family are invited to stop by FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH of EUPORA
for a time to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH 520 W. Fox Ave., Eupora * 258-3491 * www.fbceupora.com
Facebook.com/Groups/FirstBaptistEupora Join us for SUNDAY SCHOOL @ 9:45 a.m. & WORSHIP @ 11 a.m.
What a
wonderful
start to the
holidays! Sunday was a great day to
experience the spirit of Christ-
mas. The children set the tone
with their smiling faces and
energetic bodies. Most of us
wish we could be as active as
they are. Spiritually, we must
be if our world is going to
change. Our God will help us if
we have the desire. It is always
exciting to see anyone give
their heart to Jesus. This is a
major part of what keeps the
church alive—Jesus living
through His children. Then the
adult choir and orchestra did
not disappoint. What a wonder-
ful presentation of worship that
we were privileged to be a part
of. You missed a blessing if
you were not here.
Saturday night, we will ob-
serve the Silent Lord’s Supper.
The church will be open from
5-7 p.m. You can come at any
time and stay for any length of
time. As you enter, please be as
quiet and reverent as possible.
Pick up a program and follow
the suggested instructions.
On Christmas Day, we will
have a morning service only at
10 a.m. Please take note of the
time. This is to give families
more time to be together but
also to remember whose family
we are part of. On New Year’s
Day, we will have Sunday
School and morning worship at
the normal times but no eve-
ning service.
Have a Merry Christmas!
Bro. Travis
I want to say thank you to the
choir and orchestra for an abso-
lutely amazing job this past Satur-
day and Sunday! I have heard so
many positive comments and we
are so grateful. More than any-
thing, I know the Lord was here in
this place and that His name was
glorified. I know that we wor-
shipped Him!!
As I think about Christmas, I am
reminded of how much we have to
be thankful for. I am thankful for
the opportunity and privilege to
serve with you. I am thankful for
the greatest gift, Jesus. This past
week has been a mixed bag of
emotions. I know many people are
hurting and are struggling, but
there is hope and joy in Jesus.
Please remember to lift these up in
prayer. God is good and He is our
hope!
We will resume choir practice
on Wednesday, Jan. 4. I can’t be-
lieve I’m saying this, but it will be
time to start Easter!! Come join
us!
I pray you all have a blessed and
Merry Christmas!
With love in Christ,
John
