Sereni Linggi and Shen-tel Lee, co-founders of well-known headband label Sereni & Shentel, met Hidayah Hassan, founder and designer of CIPELA Shoes, at the Broadband Empowered Entrepreneur (BEE) Award ceremony in September 2014. By chance, the girls were seated at the same table and were both recipients of the BEE Award 2014 given by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. It was there that Sereni and Shen-tel began their journey into shoe design, a life-long fantasy the two girls had of designing and producing their own line of shoes.

malaysiaCIPELA Shoes were known for their comfort and workmanship and the girls loved that the shoes were a home-grown brand, made proudly in Malaysia, just as Sereni & Shentel products are.

Sereni & Shentel X CIPELA’s first design is called The Ballerina, which is a ballet shoe with a 1.5 inch block heel. Comfort and aesthetics were key in the design of The Ballerina.

The Ballerina comes in 12 colours in European sizes 35-41. No animals were harmed in the production of The Ballerina.
