Finding the New Land• During the 1500´s – 1600´s, Europe wanted to find new land to explore• Those explorers were called ´Pilgrims´•They landed in the ´New World´in 1620
What the Pilgrims found
• When the Pilgrims reached land, they found INDIANS!
• The Indians wore different clothes, ate different foods, and lived in Tee-Pees.
The First Dinner
• The Pilgrims and the Indians became friends and prepared a large dinner to celebrate their
new friendship.

• More and more people started to come to the ´New Land´ and now it is called The United States!

• Now, every year in November, we celebrate Thanksgiving to remember our history and give thanks for our friends and family
