The same technique can be used for every regular polygons:

The sectioning points can be drawn on the circle.

If the polygon is inside the circle then the these points should be connected.

If the polygon is outside the circle then tangents should be drawn at these points.

From this point on only the polygons inside a given circle are drawn.
