We are a grassroots cyclocross racing team based in Santa Cruz California.

It’s actually bigger than just a race team. We are a community of friends, racers, and riders, all coming together to share good times riding skinny tires in the dirt. We motivate and support eachother to be better riders and have even more fun whenever we are on the bike.

We are also riding hard on our custom Caletti race machines, providing feedback to John Caletti as he continues to refine his ‘cross bike offerings.

Cyclocross isn’t just our discipline. It’s our community, passion, & lifestyle.

THE MAN BEHIND THE TEAM

I’m John Caletti, and I handcraft custom bicycles in Santa Cruz, California. I truly enjoy the challenge, reward, and process of building bicycles. I’ve been a rider since I was a kid, the passion just got deeper as I’ve gone along. My own first custom bike was a revelation - it fit better, it worked better, I had more fun. I loved working with my hands, creating, especially projects that involved welding and machining. When I discovered handmade, custom bicycles, a seed was planted. It took a number of years before diving in - working in bike shops, sales, fittings, and then a lot of wrenching, along with welding courses and eventually learning to build bikes. In 2004 I got going, and it’s been a challenging, rewarding and fun ride. I love what I do, I continue to be engaged and excited about creating unique bicycles for passionate riders.

I take building bikes seriously, and I take the way I run my business and the impact it has on the environment seriously as well. Beyond making bikes that inspire people to ride more and drive less, I look for other ways to reduce the impact of my bike making business. I recycle paper, plastic, cardboard, metal cut-offs and scraps, reuse packing material, ship by ground (not air), use natural light in the workshop, and produce durable and recyclable bike frames. In addition Caletti Cycles is a member of 1% for the Planet - donating 1% of sales to groups working to preserve and protect our environment.

The cyclocross team represents our love of racing and our passion for riding bikes. Cross is about having fun, not just winning. And we believe that riding bikes should be a lot of fun.
