• Emotions: are relatively short-term experiences that are focused on a specific target or cause.

• Feelings: are subjective private experiences about emotions.

• Moods: are less intense emotions that are longer in duration and may not have an identifiable cause.

The faculty at 499 developed an important document that describes

how we all want to feel in this school, and what we can do to make sure

everyone feels that way.

The Mode Meter represents

two components of emotions: pleasantness and

energy.

The Mode Meter has 4 colored quadrants

(red, blue, green, ) that describe “where you are now” in terms of your

feelings and emotions.
