American Customer Satisfaction IndexAmerican Customer Satisfaction Index
ACSI is the #1 national economic indicator of customer satisfaction.
Over 40 industries and 200 organizations covering 45% of the U.S. economy use the ACSI.
Over 70 U.S. Federal Government agencies measure more than 120 programs/services using the ACSI.
The survey is conducted by CFI Group under a contract with the Department of Treasury's Federal Consulting Group, Executive Agent in government for the ACSI.
Department of Treasury works with OMB to ensure adherence to applicable Federal regulations such as the Privacy Act and the Paperwork Reduction Act.

The survey contains comment fields and three types of questions:
Rating questions for the ACSI and EOSDIS modelsNon-modeled rating questionsDemographic questions
A series of questions are asked for each of the 5 elements of the EOSDIS model:
Product searchProduct satisfactionDeliveryProduct qualityCustomer support
CFI’s methodology quantifiably measures and links satisfaction levels to performanceand prioritizes actions for improvement.
Survey QuestionsSurvey Questions
Questions need to keep up with changing technology Refine, add, eliminate questions But keep the model the same
Survey has changed slightly each time The standard questions measuring satisfaction are the same 2008 survey was shorter
Questions need to keep up with changing technology Refine, add, eliminate questions But keep the model the same
Survey has changed slightly each time The standard questions measuring satisfaction are the same 2008 survey was shorter
The challenge is to keep the survey short enough so users are willing to respond, yet long enough to reflect the complexity of the data and understand the needs of the diverse user community.

Main message: We have data and tools to use the dataNASA EOS and other Earth system science data - managed, archived,
and distributed by the EOSDIS data centers Target the Earth science community Increase number of new users Promote interdisciplinary use by existing users
Larger message: Significance of NASA Earth science data Attract the commercial and applications community Excite educators and students Interest the general public
Communicate the availability, accessibility, sources, and the value of NASA’s contributions in Earth system science research by highlighting NASA EOS data information, data products, data resources and data handling tools
Purpose: Tell people about us (EOSDIS)!
