This apartment was excellent.
I moved to Portland from out of state on a one-year contract
and didn't want to deal with buying furniture or doing any
kind of homesteading. The space Regan provided was
beautiful. It had everything I needed to feel comfortable
immediately.
Even though it is a basement apartment there is ample
natural light. When I worked from home, I rarely had to turn
on the lights, even in the Portland rain.
As someone who loves to cook, I had some reservations
about the kitchen before I moved in. These were unfounded.
I was able to cook just as much as I always have.
I really loved the neighborhood. There's a great farmer's
market and a neat commercial district less than a ten-minute
walk from the apartment. I walked to the grocery store and a
fair amount of entertainment as well. The apartment is also
less than a mile away from Mt. Tabor Park, one of Portland's
best parks (and, depending on whom you ask, either an
extinct or dormant volcano!) If that's too far, the backyard is
great, too.
Regan was also a great neighbor. Chatting with her could
brighten my day. She was super helpful for me getting to
know the neighborhood and Portland in general. She was
really attentive and often asked if I had any problems--I
didn't have any issues with the apartment in my year there.
She was always outside beautifying the front yard or the
back garden, which made the backyard such a great place to
hang out when the weather was nice.
If my contract had been renewed, I'd still be living in this
apartment.
Excellent Brian
