Photography, especially nature photography, often is used as a medium for exploring emotions. Nature represents beauty, expansiveness, and unpredictability. This pairs well with photography. In this presentation, we ask you to look at serenity in relationship to photography. What makes a piece seem serene? Why do we look at a photo of a inhospitable winter and feel content?
