PREFIXA prefix is a group of lettersthat has a specific meaningand that can be added to thebeginning of a root/stem wordto change the meaning.
SUFFFIXA suffix is a group of lettersthat can be added to the end of aroot/stem word to change itsmeaning or function, often makingdifferent parts of speech, e.g.nouns, adjectives and adverbs.
STEM/ROOTA stem (or root word)is a basic word fromwhich other words areformed.
