COMPANY PROFILEIt is a Coffee shop .Founded in PIKE PLACE MARKET in SEATTLE , WASHINGTON (March 30 , 1971).Founders-JERRY BALDWIN,GORDON BOWKER And ZEV SIEGL.Area Served- Worldwide.

1971-The founders opened a small coffee shop in Pike Place Market.

1982-Howard Schultz joined the Starbucks marketing team, and convinced the company to set up an ESPRESSO bar in

town. 1992-Starbucks had 140 such stores in the northwest and

Chicago.1995-It opened 676th store increasing the products in store.

1996- Entered the market of Japan, Singapore and Hawaii(joint venture).

2002-Operated 6400 Starbucks Worldwide. 2005-CEO JIM DONALD targeted to open 30,000 stores

Worldwide.2008-Rapid expansion, giving competition to fast food chain

(McDonald and Dunkin Donuts) 2012- came to joint venture with Indian Market and still

growing. .

• With 40 stores in Four cities in 17 months.• 1000 partners in INDIA leading to fast growing

market & have decided to open 50 cafes in 2012 with DELHI & MUMBAI.

• This is going to give INDIA a premium STARBUCKS experience.

• For INDIAN customer a new brand TEA is out namely “TATA TA20”
