September

Month of Our Lady of Sorrows

September is the month

traditionally dedicated to Our

Lady of Sorrows as the Feast of the

Exhalation of the Cross falls on

September 14th and the Memorial

of Our Lady of Sorrows falls on

September 15th.

The devotion to the Seven Sorrows

of Mary meditates on the various sorrows of Our

Blessed Mother beginning with the prophecy of

Simeon in the Temple and ending with the Blessed

Virgin leaving the Body of her Son in the tomb.
