FROM ARCHBISHOP LONGLEY This year I am asking every parish in the diocese to collect for a particular charity during Lent, and apart from the CAFOD Fast Day, to concentrate on this project. The designated charity is AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED. All monies will be specially earmarked for the work of the charity among refugees in Syria and Iraq. This is a practical way in which we can assist those who are caught up in the horrific situation.
