Donation of books

We wanted to do something for the less privileged of our age group living in rural areas, that will make difference in their lives.

We discussed amongst ourselves to find ideas to help our less fortunate friends.

We realised that students in rural schools barely got to read good books or sufficient stationery necessary for the school curriculum.

Knowledge is Power

• We identified one such school located in a village remotely located from Bengaluru, ran by a retired chemistry professor from Bengaluru. This School needed stationary and books for the students studying there.

• We planned to approach our friends and neighbours who will contribute books, toys and stationary which they seldom use.

Sorting the items gathered.

We made the cartons of books, stationery and toys based on the topics and categories.

No of books collected : approx 700. Language: Kannada, English and Hindi.

Subject: Encyclopedia, plain books, text books.

Stationary: Crayons, Pencils and erasers.

We managed to collect books and toys on various topics, languages and for different age groups.

Collection handed over to Adarsh vidya mandir

We received so much love and respect not only from our friends and neighbours but also the School staff.
