High School

•High school courses in subjects such as science, english, mathematics, computer studies, and business are required.

Education/Training•Degree in software engineering, or

other related discipline is required to become a Software Engineer (4 years).

•Software Engineers must register as Professional Engineers to legally become engineers.

•To become a P. Eng. you must earn a engineering degree, acquire years of supervised training, and pass an exam.
