Who qualifies?

• Completed ACGME accredited training in:– Internal medicine– Pediatrics– Neurology– Psychiatry– ENT– Family practice

Sleep medicine fellowship

• One year fellowship

• Training sites:– OSU (7 board-certified sleep specialists)– Nationwide Childrens (2 board-certified)

• Largely an outpatient experience

Sleep medicine-interdisciplinary field

• Pulmonary

• Neurology

• Pediatrics

• Psychiatry

• ENT

• Dentistry

ACGME minimum requirements

• New adult patients 200

• Follow-up adult patients 300

• New pediatric patients 40

• Follow-up pediatric patients 40

• Inpatient consultations 10

ACGME minimum requirements

• PSG 200

• MSLT/MWT 25

• Scoring 25 (5 peds)

Board certification

• Certified in IM or in one subspecialty

• Passed the certification exam– 2007, 2009, 2011
