What is a Shelter Kit?A Shelter Kit is a comprehensive relief packagecontaining a range of different relief materials to helpdisaster victims restart their lives

Contents Of A Shelter Kit A trunk to act as container

for all materials• 2 pcs tarpaulin- 1 as floor

cover & another as roof cover

• 4 blankets and 4 sheets of linen

• 4 stainless steel plates and 4 stainless steel glasses

• 1 kerosene stove and 1 lantern

• 1 jerrycan for water and 1 jerrycan for kerosene

Contents of A Shelter Kit

• 3 cooking utensils with 3 serving spoons

• 500 chlorine tablets

• 1 bucket and 1 mug

• 2 sets of clothes for men and women

• Candles, match boxes

• Soap and tooth powder

• 1 mosquito net

Why Do We Need A Shelter Kit?When disaster strikes the first image is of people fleeing

their homes , clutching on to their loved ones, with only the clothes that they have on their backs.

Tarpaulins and mosquito nets provide shelter

A kerosene stove and cooking and eating utensils help prepare food

Zeoline drops make drinking water safe

Garments address the need for clean clothing

Soap, toothpowder and detergent bars help maintain hygiene and prevent illness.
