Introduction
• The Soviet Federation is the largest federation on Kebir Blue and one of the most influential in the galaxy
• It was established in 2977 as an authoritarian military pact and has since evolved into a participatory democracy
• For the most part there have always been at least twenty members of the federation
• The federation is affiliated an extended common market

• The Soviet Federation is built on two central values

• The phrase “NOT ONE STEP BACK” has become the official rallying call of the Soviet Federation. It is used primary as a method of saying goodbye during meetings and in campaigns during election times

• The federation has evolved significantly over its six centuries of existence
• While the federation was not founded on principles of democracy, it quickly became a democracy with regular elections
• The period known as “Democratisation” occurred in 3011, ending four decades of authoritarian rule
• This was followed by several other transformations where the democratic structures and institutions were radically changed

• Since 3500 the federation has been governed by two separate but equal entities:

• The Civil Democratic Union: a liberal democratic party
• The Vanguards: a communist party

• Running for premier requires joining a political party, releasing a platform, and participating in a leadership debate
• Running for council usually involves voicing opinions on serious matters before the federation

• The Soviet Federation also has a supreme court which serves numerous roles such as investigating cases, training new members, and reviewing soviet law

• The Soviet Federation is a large, complex, and dynamic organisation. Soviet member states are encouraged to become as involved as they can. However, there are limitations and members are understanding
