THEFILMIn2001,planswereunveiledforthebuildingof52765kV-transmissiontowersintheruralcommunityofMiryang,totransferelectricityfromanuclearpowerplanttocityareas.IniDally,residentsoftheidyllicareapaidliEleheedtothenewsbutastheygraduallyrealisedthedevastaDngimpactthetowerswouldhaveontheirlivesandlivelihoodsassimplefarmers,theybegantospeakout.NotonlydidtheirwordsfallondeafearsbutdemocraDcprocedureswereignoredandthe(mostlyelderly)villagersbegantoseetheirlandtakenfromthemandtheconstrucDonexpeditedbyforce.documentsthevillagers’plight,followstheirincreasinglydesperateeffortstopreventthetowersfrombeingbuiltanddeLlydetailstheoLenviolentdangerstheyfaceatthehandsofcorporateauthoriDesandthelaw.
