FEDERAL AID
Your FAFSA (Free Application for
Federal Student Aid) qualifies you to be
considered for federal aid based on need.
Need-based federal aid is available in
the form of Federal Pell Grants, Federal
Supplemental Educational Opportunity
Grants, Federal Direct Loans, Federal
Parent Plus (PLUS) Loans, and/or
federal work-study program.
Our FAFSA school code is 002003. FAFSA priority filing date is February 15.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPSAll Centenary Academic Awards are renewable for up to three years for students who remain in good standing.
President’s Scholarship - $20,000/year - $80,000 over four yearsEligibility: Minimum 3.7 Centenary GPA* - 1260 Critical Reading/Math SAT score or 28 ACT composite
Dean’s Scholarship - $15,000/year - $60,000 over four yearsEligibility: Minimum 3.3 Centenary GPA* - 1150 Critical Reading/Math SAT score or 25 ACT composite
Trustee Scholarship - $10,000/year - $40,000 over four yearsEligibility: Minimum 3.0 Centenary GPA* - 1070 Critical Reading/Math SAT score or 23 ACT composite
*Centenary GPA: Recalculated GPA based on core courses only; on a four point, un-weighted scale.
SCHOLARS WEEKEND & COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPSStudents who meet the criteria for the President’s Scholarship, and who apply and are accepted prior to December 31, are eligible to be invited to a competitive scholarship weekend to be held in the spring.

INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTSLegacy AwardDirect descendants of Centenary alumni (grandparent, parent, or sibling) qualify for this $1,000/year award. If an older sibling still attends Centenary, both students will receive the award!
Artistic Merit AwardArtistic merit awards are selected through audition or portfolio review by art, music, and theatre faculty. Students selected for these awards are eligible to renew them if they continue to participate in the artistic program.
Minister DependentsStudents who have a parent actively serving as an ordained United Methodist minister qualify for this $5,000/year award.
Texas Equalization GrantTexas residents who have a 3.0 Centenary GPA qualify for this award.
Centenary Methodist GrantAwarded annually to new full-time students. Based on need; requires membership in the United Methodist Church and completion of the FAFSA.
Centenary Out-of-State Grant Awarded annually to new full-time students. Based on need; requires U.S. residence outside of Louisiana and completion of the FAFSA.
Centenary Grants and Endowed ScholarshipsCentenary Grants and Endowed Scholarships are available to admitted students with financial need. To be eligible, students must complete the FAFSA.
Room Fee Waivers – Automatically available to students in the 710-711 zip code range
Artistic Merit Awards require separate auditions or applications, and many institutional scholarships and grants require the FAFSA. Visit centenary.edu/fa for more information on how to be considered for these awards.
STATE SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTSLouisiana TOPSFor Louisiana residents with at least a 20 ACT and a 2.5 core GPA (awarded by the state).
Louisiana GO GrantFor Louisiana residents who qualify for a Federal Pell Grant. Awards range up to $3,000/year.
