TAFF
Upward Bound is excited about our instructors for this summer! This
year’s staff brings much experience with them—we have eight returning
staff AND ten former bounders working for us this year! Day staff have
met with Linda and Kassidy several times to review lesson plans, supply
lists, and planned activities to ensure the goals of Upward Bound are
met. Night staff have met with R.W. to prepare for the summer trip,
group sessions, community service, and dorm life.

Utah’s Great Shake Out at WSU Community Service

setting up displays, running demonstrations, teaching about P and S waves, liquefaction, and more.
Magical Mystery Tour at WSU
On Thursday, April 19 UB students were treated to a performance of The Beatles’ music on campus. “Magical Mystery Tour” provided students an evening of great enter-tainment, as did Dave and Linda. Thanks to the Ogden Symphony Ballet Association for continuing to make these events accessible to our students.
“Celebrating Women Tea” Community Service
On Saturday, May 12 Upward Bound students facilitated the annual
“Celebrating Women Tea” fundraiser. The YCC, a local domestic violence
shelter, received all funds raised at this event. Students worked setting tables, serving food and drinks, handing out roses, and cleaning up at the conclu-
