Safe Start Toolkit
On the 1st July 2015 Costain launched the Safe Start toolkit to focus on:
• How to deliver really effective briefings for Inductions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements and Start of Shift briefings;
• How to get the most impact from the critical visual SHE information we display on our sites;
• Communication skills development training available to all contracts during September and October 2014
• All projects received the Be Clear – Be Safe video workshop DVD.
Within the tool kit there are a number of ‘How To’ guidance documents and ‘Tools’ available to assist implementation on the projects, as shown in the image below. Through using the Safe Start Toolkit engagement on projects has improved.
