PROFESSIONAL FOOD HANDLING
Gain a food handling qualification
Victoria’s food industry is strictly governed by a set of regulations, including the Food Act 1984. Anybody who workswith food or runs a food-related business needs to be familiar with the relevant standards. This short course isdesigned around these standards to meet the requirements of the Food Act 1984.
Successful completion of this course will make you appropriately qualified to work in a food handling environment.
CONTENT
Online
Upon enrolment, you will be sent a link to complete a compulsary Pre-Training Review and LLN Robot.
You will also be required to complete online reading and a quiz before attending class.
All bookings into the Safe Food Handling short course must be made atleast 5 days prior to the class commencementdate. Certification will only be issued upon completion of both online and practical components.
Accreditation
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive credit and certification for the following accredited unit from SIT30616- Certificate III in Hospitality:
SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety
Enrolment Requirements
A Unique Student Identifier - you must have a USI when you enrol. You can apply for a USI online or get moreinformation at www.usi.gov.au.
To study any nationally recognised training in Australia, you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). What are sani sers and how do you use them; and
What is HACCP.
WHAT YOU GET
The appropriate qualification to work in a food handling environment.
Knowledge of (introductory) food contamination;personal hygiene, food hygiene, cleaning, sanitising and pest control.
Upon successful completion, you’ll also receive credit and certification for the following accredited unit from SIT30616Certificate III in Hospitality:
