Retest in Michigan IPP Siteso January – September, 2009
o 7,085 individuals tested positive for either chlamydia or gonorrhea in Michigan’s IPP supported sites.
o April – December, 2009 o 1,051 clients (15%) returned for a retest.
o Of the 1,051, 20%, were positive at the time of the retest, 42 – GC (4%), and 169 – CT (16%).
Wayne County Jail
o TOTAL (N=612 ~300F/300M)o GC: 5.1%; CT: 13.7%; Dual Infection: 2.6%
o MALEo GC: 6.3%; CT: 19.2%; Dual Infection: 3.1%
o FEMALEo GC: 3.8%; CT: 8.4%; Dual Infection: 2.0%
Average for non STD clinic IPP sites – ~1.7% GC, 7.6% CT
