COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
In relational art, the audience is envisaged as a community. Rather than the
artwork being an encounter between a viewer and an object, relational art
produces intersubjective encounters. Through these encounters, meaning is
elaborated collectively (Bourriaud).
