Meena and Bela went to the same school. They were friends and their families liked visitingeach other. But this time, Bela’s parents had brought upsetting news to Meena’s house.

Bela’s parents had decided to take her out of school.

Bela’s parents were worried for her safety. She was growing up and the walk to school waslong and lonely.

Meena and Bela were both very upset. Meena knew how important it is for girls to continueschool.

Meena’s family also knew the importance of educating girls. They saw how much Meenahad learnt by going to school.

Suddenly, Meena had a wonderful idea. It would allow Bela to continue her studies and alsokeep her safe!

The grown ups liked Meena’s idea. This idea could help other girls too!

Now Bela and her parents are both happy! Bela still goes to school, but safely – in a group!
