Sewing Instructions

1. Sew back sections together at center back.2. With right sides together sew front sections to back section at sides.3. With right sides together sew front lining sections to back lining section at sides.

Front Left4. Attach front left interfacing to front left facing section on wrong sides of facing. Press.5. With right sides together pin front left facing to front left section. Sew along zig-zag edge, turning

at corners. Snip corners. Turn right sides out. Press flat.

6. With right sides together, sew front left facing to front left lining. Press seam flat.7. With tailor’s chalk or using a needle and thread, mark 5 points for button holes on outside of front section.

Front Right8. Attach front right interfacing to front right facing section on wrong sides of facing.9. With right sides together pin front right facing to front right section. Turn right sides out. Press seam flat.10. With right sides together, sew front right facing to front right lining. Press seam flat.

Tie11. With right sides together, sew neck tie fabric to lining along

one edge. Press.12. Pin center point of neck tie to center back point.13. Pin around neckline on right, stopping at circle. Sew.14. Pin around neckline on left to center front. Sew.

15. Turn cape so right sides of fabric and lining or facing are together. Stitch remaining right front neckline to neck line of right front facing.. Turn right sides out. Press.16. Place right sides of tie together and sew raw edges together, stopping at the neckline.17. Turn in remaining seam allowance of

neck tie and handstitch it to the neck.18. Turn in ends of ties and handstitch ends closed.

ButtonsUsing markers as a guide. Sew button holes on left front.Using markers as a guide. Attach buttons to right front.

HemTurn in hem allowance on fabric. Handstitch in place. Press.Turn in hem allowance on lining. Press. Handstitch to fabric ½ inch from outside edge (trim lining if necessary).
