Government is important because it

protects the citizens rights

People select their own government by

elections.

Citizens help choose who they want to

vote for in an election.

Citizens do not only vote for leaders.

They also vote for other issues, such as

amendments to their own constitution.

Citizens also vote for local issues in their

own communities

In this way people will not be afraid to

vote.

After the majority win the power to make

decisions for the country, the minority still

has the same rights as the majority.
