Many people are interested in cyclingand horse riding. The Ridgeway
Partnership's ambition is to improveopportunities for the public with a
high quality, signposted, off-roadroute through the scenic
Chilterns between Goring-on-Thames in Oxfordshire andDunstable in Bedfordshire.
There will be benefits for the localeconomy through work with
landowners and businesses includingcycle shops, pubs, farmshops, B&Bs,cafes, stables and event organisers.

Adapting the existing rights of waynetwork, we aim to provide
a route in the following areas to link up with sections of Ridgeway
National Trail already open to riders:1.South Stoke to North Stoke
(near Wallingford, Oxon). 2. Grim’s Ditch to Britwell
Salome (near Wallingford, Oxon).3. Bledlow to Princes
Risborough, Bucks4. Princes Risborough to
Wendover, Bucks5. Chivery (near Wendover, Bucks).6. Wigginton to Ivinghoe Beacon
/ Ashridge estate (near Tring,Herts).
7. Ashridge estate to Whipsnade(near Dunstable, Beds).
This project wil l be realisedin phases over several years.
The f i rst phase launched inDec 2019 with a grant f rom
HS2 Ltd for a route betweenPulpi t Hi l l (near Pr inces
Risborough) and Chivery (nearWendover) . Work ing with
landowners , the funding isenabl ing s ignage, surface
improvements , cyc le stands,h i tching posts and benches.
