• Art & Art History: Notable alumni include Geneva Ilke, who pursued her masters in Chemistry and is now doing art restoration

• Creative Writing: 85 books published at last count including The Returned by Jason Mott, which was published in thirteen languages, became a New York Times Bestseller, and then a TV series, “Resurrection,” on ABC.

• Film Studies: Notable NC alumni include Josh Woll, Director of Photography for the acclaimed PBS show “A Chef’s Life.”

• Music: at least 8 of the band, chorus, and orchestra director positions in New Hanover County public schools are occupied by UNCW grads

• Theatre: graduates are acting in film and television, performing with professional theatre companies, designing sets and costumes, working in non-profit theatre administration and educating the next generation of artists
