FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) —Joey Logano made a last-lap passof Jeff Gordon during extra lapsMonday after a late caution in arain-delayed race at Texas, becom-ing the seventh different winner inas many Sprint Cup races this sea-son,

Logano had a 2.2-second leadon teammate Brad Keselowski andwas within a half-lap of taking thewhite flag, which would have guar-anteed no extra laps. But thencame the caution for debris afterKurt Busch’s car brushed the walland one of his tires tore apart.

On the ensuing pit stop, Gor-

don took only two tires and exitedfirst. Both Team Penske driverstook four tires, but Keselowskimissed a chance to become theseason’s first two-time winnerwhen he was penalized for speed-ing on pit road and finished 15th.

On a restart at lap 262, Loganoquickly pulled his Ford away fromthe field and had a nearly 5-sec-ond lead before his last green-flagstop. After the green-white-check-ered restart on lap 339, Loganowent inside past Brian Vickers andquickly got behind Gordon.

Heading onto the frontstretch,Logano went low and was able to

get past Gordon going into thefirst turn. Kyle Busch finishedthird ahead of Brian Vickers androokie Kyle Larson.

Logano, the only driver withtop-five finishes in both Texasraces last season, got his fourthcareer victory after leading 108 of340 laps — six more than sched-uled. Team Penske joined Stewart-Haas Racing as the only teamswith multiple winners this season.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished lastin a 43-car field for the first time inseven seasons after driving his carinto the rain-saturated infieldgrass before it shot across the

track and slammed into the wall ina fiery crash. He took the blamefor the accident on lap 13 that alsoled to problems for Hendrick Mo-torsports teammate Jimmie John-son.

Johnson had damage on thewindshield and front left of his No.48 car from mud and debris afterthe Earnhardt crash. Johnson wasthree laps down by time he gotback in the race after his teamworked on the car, and the defend-ing Sprint Cup champion also hadan issue with a right-side tire be-fore finishing 25th.
