The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region IV-A Calabarzon of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines - Region IV-A Chapter, Inc. (PCAPI-Reg. IV-A) will conduct advance training course for PCOs entitled “Hazardous Waste Management” at the Development Academy of the Philippines, Sungay East, Tagaytay City on August 1 & 2, 2014. The training aims to discuss the following topics:

A. Revised Permitting Guidelines for Hazardous Wastes B. Hazardous Waste Management

1. Storage and Handling 2. Labeling / Placarding 3. Segregation and Separation 4. Personnel Protective Equipment (PPEs) 5. Emergency Contingency Plan 6. Tools in handling risks & emergencies (Use of gold & green books)

C. Hazardous Waste Environmental Monitoring & Reporting (CMR & SMR)

In this regard, we would like to invite your company to send your designated PCO/s. This training forms part of PCAPI Region IV-A Chapter’s Continuing Education Series for PCOs which aims to make appointed PCOs enhanced quality and productivity by helping them acquire environment-relevant skills and stay ahead of compliance developments. Training fee shall be at P9,000.00 (Live-In) / P7,500.00 (Live-Out) inclusive of meals, training materials, electronic copies of presentation materials and PCO’s training certificate.
