Type catalyst.uvm.edu in the address field of any browser to access PeopleSoft’s portal.

Enter your UVM Net ID and Password under the HR Login, then click on Sign In.

• Note 1: Your supervisor sets the deadline for submission of your timesheet. Obtain the deadline and document here for easy referral.

• Note 2: If you have more than one job, you will need to submit separate timesheets for each job and indicate the valid accounting information.

• Note 3: You are required to submit your hours in a timely manner, i.e., on a weekly basis. To submit your timesheets for the two weeks in the pay period, you need to submit each week separately.

• Note 4: Never give out or share your UVM Net ID and Password.

1. From Internet Explorer, go to CATalyst.uvm.edu.

2. Login using your UVM Net Id & Password. Your supervisor should have provided you with your department’s Combo Code which will link your department’s specific budget allocation to your account.

3. From the PeopleSoft Menu:

1. Click on “Self-Service”

2. Click on “Time Reporting, Report Time”

3. Click on “Timesheet”

4. If you have multiple jobs you will need to choose the correct job to report hours against. Click on the blue hyperlink.

5. On the Timesheet, verify your Name, Job Title, EmpID, the Week and Date.

6. Click on appropriate work day(s) and enter hours worked.

7. After completing time entry, Submit the information. By submitting the information, you are certifying that you have worked these hours.

8. When you have completed your functions in PeopleSoft, Sign Out from the PeopleSoft system.

9. Once your timesheet has been submitted, your supervisor will complete the approval process.

At the PeopleSoft menu, click Self-Service to access “Time Reporting”.

From “Time Reporting” click the Report Time link.

Click on the Time Sheet link.

2. Click on the Job Description of the job you wish to report hours against.

3. You may use the Employee Record Number to track your various jobs.

1. If you have only ONE job, your timesheet will automatically be displayed.

1. Verify your Name and Employee Information.

2. Verify the Date.

1. Enter the correct hours worked in the appropriate day.

2. From the drop-down menu, choose the correct Time Reporting Code (e.g. (work study earnings, temporary hourly earnings etc.) .

Note: Overtime will be calculated automatically. Enter the actual hours worked each day.

1. Enter the correct Accounting Information or use the magnifying glass to find the correct information.

2. After entering your hours, you must submit your information to be processed.

If the RED BAR appears, the information is NOT correct. Delete the information and use the magnifying glass to find the correct accounting information

To report hours for a second job, click on the Return to Select Job link.

You can report additional time, not yet submitted, by clicking the Previous Week or Next Week link.

If you wish to report additional hours, follow the same steps as before.
