I want to take the time to personally thank each of our member jurisdictions for your dedication, commitment and support of the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA)! With your support and leadership, the CVWMA has become a recognized leader in the region and in the Commonwealth. Because of CVWMA, more than 1.1 million people in the region now have convenient access to recycling and are more aware of how their actions impact the environment.
We are very proud to be able to say that nearly 2.5 million tons of material has been diverted from landfill disposal through OUR programs. Collaborative efforts have resulted in significant savings to 13 municipal governments in addition to generating over $4.5 million back to our members since 1990.
We have seen significant change and growth in our first 25 years and with your continued leadership and support, I look forward to all the great things we can do together in the next 25 and beyond! It is my pleasure to work for and alongside you and the Board and Staff and I am rewarded everyday as we provide such a valued and well respected service to so many. Thank you for providing me this opportunity!
