COLLECTION SERVICE
Rates are based on the size and frequency of service. Trash collection is available in a variety of size containers – including carts (35, 65, or 95 gallon), bins (1.5 to 6 yards), roll-off boxes (10 to 30
yards), and compactors. Please call for more information.
NRWS/NCRWS provides recycling and yard trimmings compost collection at no extra charge to all its business customers. Service is available in carts or bins. For large generators, roll-off service is available for recycling (free) and yard trimmings (at a discounted rate). NRWS/NCRWS also collects bulky items and large amounts of special recyclable materials, such as e-waste and pallets. In addition, we accept clean shrink wrap consolidated in clear bags for recycling. WASTE ASSESSMENTS
Want your business to recycle and compost more and cut its trash bill?
A simple assessment might be all it takes. Call us at 255-5200 to request a visit by our technical team. We’ll help you establish efficient in-house recycling procedures, select optimum service levels, and we’ll even help train your employees. Your business might become one of our annual recycling award winners!
ROLL-OFF BOXES FOR LARGE GENERATORS
Does your business generate large amounts of materials? Why pay full price for a trash box when you can get the same size box for separated materials for a fraction of the cost? *Call for details — actual costs will vary.
BUSINESS RECYCLING & COMPOSTING — IT’S THE LAW! The State of California is intent on reducing greenhouse gases by increasing recycling and composting. State law requires that all businesses and apartments recycle. It also mandates composting for businesses that generate lots of food scraps or yard trimmings. NRWS/NCRWS makes it easy for your business – call or visit www.NapaRecycling.com now to improve your recycling and composting.
TOURS & PRESENTATIONS
What happens to your recyclables and compostables after you put them in your carts and bins?
Napa is in the forefront of recycling and our customers are largely responsible for that. We invite your organization, business, or school to take a tour and see our recycling and composting facility first-hand. We are also available for presentations about the economic and environmental benefits of recycling and composting. Call or email to schedule.

FREE ANYTHING WITH A CORD RECYCLINGIs your business replacing old electronic equipment and devices?
Businesses may drop them off at the Napa Recycling and Composting Facility (see map below) at no charge. NRWS/NCRWS customers are also eligible for free pickup of electronics through the Recycle More service. Call 255-5200 or visit www.NapaRecycling.com for information or to schedule a pickup.
The State of California and the City of Napa require larger construction and demolition projects to reuse or recycle at least 65% of the debris generated. NRWS can help you comply and save money at the same time!
Boxes for recycling are free (single-stream, plastic,
cardboard, etc.)
HAZARDOUS WASTESToxic and corrosive products like paints, fluorescent bulbs and tubes, batteries, automotive fluids, cleaners, and pesticides should never be placed in bins or carts. Find safe and legal disposal information at www.NapaRecycling.com, and visit www.calpsc.org to advocate for producer take-back programs.
FOOD COMPOSTING Does your business throw lots of food scraps and soiled paper in the trash?
If so, you can better protect our environment and cut your garbage bill by ordering food compost collection service. It’s available to all NRWS/NCRWS customers. Call or visit www.NapaRecycling.com to sign-up.
SPECIAL EVENT RECYCLING
Special events provide a great opportunity to recycle and NRWS is committed to helping you make it work. When you call for service, we’ll help you select the right recycling and trash containers and provide guidelines for successful event recycling. State policies require
recycling at large events. Plus, recycling will save you money because there is no charge for recycling at events…while there is always a charge for trash. Find guidelines, resources, and signs at www.NapaRecycling.com. Food composting is also available for events — call 255-5200 or check the website for details.
PREVENT RECYCLING THEFTRecyclable materials belong to you. You may choose to take your cans and bottles to a buyback center and be paid their California Redemption Value (CRV) or you may choose to put your recyclables in the NRWS carts or bins. Once those materials are in the recycling cart or bin, only you or NRWS has the right to remove them. The recyclables have value, and the revenue NRWS receives from processing recyclables is taken into consideration when solid waste rates are set. Report recycling theft by calling 257-9223 or email recyclingtheft@cityofnapa.org.
