Properties• PVdC films offer excellent barrier properties against odour,

moisture loss, oxygen penetration, UV light discolouration 1,2,4.

• PVdC complies with the requirements for food and pharmaceutical contact of regulatory agencies arount the world 2,5.

• Excellent processability and flexibility to run on most packaging machinery 1,6.

It is commonly used for applications that require little moisture barrier, but where cost and processability are critical 6.

The most commonly used barrier material.

PVdC is similar to glass—it has an extremely high barrier but is very brittle.
