REPORT1.0 History : Last June 2011, repair of the internals of the flange connection ( job done by MHI during the

T&I)

2.0 Findings:

Desalination GRP pipe sea water intake spool .Drawing # DOGDB01BR005Diameter : 44” length : 2m, operating pressure : 7 Kg/cm2

Two radial visible cracks on the middle of the spool .No water leak

RECOMMENDATIONS(To be completed at the discretion of the Inspector)

To drain the line, grind the externals around the cracks and apply fiber glass lamination (as reinforcement).To order a new pipe spool for the replacement of the damaged pipe structure.
