[002.002] This is the Book (the Qur'ân), where of there
is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqûn
[the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism who fear
Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds
which He has forbidden) and love Allâh much (perform
all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].
[002.151] Similarly (to complete My Blessings on you), We have sent among you
a Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) of your own, reciting to
you Our Verses (the Qur'ân) and purifying you, and teaching you the Book (the
Qur'ân) and the Hikmah (i.e. Sunnah, Islâmic laws and Fiqh – jurisprudence),
and teaching you that which you used not to know.
[002.174] Verily, those who conceal what Allâh has sent down of the Book, and purchase a
small gain therewith (of worldly things), they eat into their bellies nothing but fire. Allâh will not
speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor purify them, and theirs will be a painful torment.
[002.175] Those are they who have purchased error at the price of guidance, and torment at
the price of forgiveness. So how bold they are (for evil deeds which will push them) to the Fire.
[002.176] That is because Allâh has sent down the Book (the Qur'ân) in truth. And verily, those
who disputed as regards the Book are far away in opposition.
[002.121] Those (who embraced Islâm from Banî Israel) to whom We gave
the Book [the Taurât (Torah)] [or those (Muhammad's Companions) to
whom We have given the Book (the Qur'ân)] recite it (i.e. obey its orders
and follow its teachings) as it should be recited (i.e. followed), they are the
ones who believe therein. And whoso disbelieve in it (the Qur'ân), those are
they who are the losers. (Tafsir Al-Qurtubî)
[003:078] And verily, among them is a party who distort the Book with
their tongues (as they read), so that you may think it is from the Book,
but it is not from the Book, and they say: "This is from Allâh," but it is
not from Allâh; and they speak a lie against Allâh while they know it.
[003:103] And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this
Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allâh's
Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your
hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islâmic
Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from
it. Thus Allâh makes His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs,
revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided.
[003:138] This (the Qur'ân) is a plain statement for
mankind, a guidance and instruction to those who are Al-
Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2).
[006:155] And this is a blessed Book (the Qur'ân) which We
have sent down, so follow it and fear Allâh (i.e. do not
disobey His Orders), that you may receive mercy (i.e.
saved from the torment of Hell).
[007:030] A group He has guided, and a group deserved to be in error;
(because) surely, they took the Shayâtîn (devils) as Auliyâ' (protectors
and helpers) instead of Allâh, and think that they are guided.
[014:001] (This is) a Book which We have revealed to you (O Muhammad
[sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) in order that you might lead mankind out of
darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of belief in the Oneness of
Allâh and Islâmic Monotheism) by their Lord's Leave to the path of the All-
Mighty, the Owner of all praise.
[035:029] Verily, those who recite the Book of Allâh (this Qur'ân), and
perform As-Salât (the prayers), and spend (in charity) out of what We
have provided for them, secretly and openly, they hope for a (sure)
trade-gain that will never perish.
[031:020] See you not (O men) that Allâh has subjected for you
whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and has
completed and perfected His Graces upon you, (both) apparent (i.e.
Islâmic Monotheism, and the lawful pleasures of this world, including
health, good looks) and hidden [i.e. one's faith in Allâh (of Islâmic
Monotheism), knowledge, wisdom, guidance for doing righteous deeds,
and also the pleasures and delights of the Hereafter in Paradise]? Yet of
mankind is he who disputes about Allâh without knowledge or guidance
or a Book giving light!
[021:094] So, whoever does righteous good deeds while he is a believer
(in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), his efforts will not be
rejected. Verily, We record it for him (in his Book of deeds).
[002.159] Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the
guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for
the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allâh and cursed by
the cursers.
[042:052] And thus We have sent to you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa
sallam]) Rûh (a revelation, and a mercy) of Our Command. You knew not what
is the Book, nor what is Faith. But We have made it (this Qur'ân) a light
wherewith We guide whosoever of Our slaves We will. And verily, you (O
Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) are indeed guiding (mankind) to a
Straight Path (i.e. Allâh's religion of Islâmic Monotheism).
[042:053] The path of Allâh to Whom belongs all that is in the heavens and all
that is in the earth. Verily, all matters at the end go to Allâh (for decision).
• [025:070] Except those who repent and believe (in Islâmic Monotheism), and do
righteous deeds; for those, Allâh will change their sins into good deeds, and Allâh is
Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful
•. [025:071] And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds; then verily,
he repents towards Allâh with true repentance.
[029:009] And for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and the other
articles of Faith) and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall make them
enter with (in the entrance of) the righteous (in Paradise).•
Hadiths
• Volume 1, Book 1, Number 1:
Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:
• I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or
for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.“
• Volume 1, Book 2, Number 10:
Narrated Abu Musa:
• Some people asked Allah's Apostle, "Whose Islam is the best? i.e. (Who is
a very good Muslim)?" He replied, "One who avoids harming the Muslims
with his tongue and hands."
