QuickCast Splash Screen

1st ScenerioUser opens QuickShare for the first time. It scans for devices automatically.

Connecting to devicesIf user’s device is NFC compatible, a message will appear in the right column.

NOTE: NFC devices can simply tap to each other to connect.

Connecting to devicesDevices appear. Devices on LAN shown first, followed by Wireless devices.

Connecting to devicesIf there are more than 4 devices a scroll bar will appear in the device area.

Connecting to devicesUser clicks on “Connect ”.

Connecting to devicesDevice starts connecting. An animations shots the progress. User can cancel connecting attempt by clicking”Cancel”

Connecting to devicesDevice is connected. “Files” is selected by default in the right column. User clicks on “Select files to send”

NOTE: Once device is connected, the icon changes to indicate the device type. If this example, a notebook icon.Green border and check mark icon appear.

Sharing FilesChoosing “Share my files” opens the “Libraries” folder in a Pop Up window. Here the user can select files to share.The user selects songs and clicks “send”

Standard Windows File Window appears. Go to “Libraries” by default.User can select multiple files and then click “Send”

Sharing FilesThe chosen files appear in the middle column. User presses button to start sending the files.

Sharing Files: Receiving endUser of X220-Leon is alerted that someone wants to share files with them. In this example, they have QuickCast closed, so they get a desktop alert. Clicking the alert would open QuickCast

SENDING FILES: User can pause or quit send process. Progress bar show how many files have been sent.

SENDING FILES: Progress bar show all files have been send. Bottom of right column states “3 records”

SENDING FILES: Progress bar vanished 5 seconds after completing send process.

SENDING FILES: When files are coming in, they appear on top of sent files and have a different color. Same type of progress bar is used for receiving files. User can pause are cancel process.

SENDING FILES: 5 seconds after successfully receiving files, the progress bar disappears

SENDING Messages: User clicks Message button.

SENDING Messages: User enters message. Field should recognize links and make them clickable. User clicks send button

SENDING Messages: Record of sent message appears.

SENDING Messages: Received messages appear on top with a different color.

Device PropertiesUser right clicks on connected device. From the submenu that appears, they select “Properties”.

Device PropertiesDevice Properties pop-up opens. Here user can choose to “Add to Favorites”, which will bring the device to the top of the devices list automatically. They can also choose “Always Connect”, which will automatically connect to the device when QuickCast is open (if it is available. If it’s not, it’s icon will be grayed out)

Sharing Files: Error MessagesIf a file can’t be shared, an alert icon will appear next to it. The error details will appear in the right column.Text wraps if it is more than one line,

Received Files:Have a different color and status message from sent files.
