What can I learn here?● Every SaaS needs a USP● Marketing ideas for a product in a crowded market

Problem solutionBuilding web pages is a complex task. Yet, most websites have one goal: convert visitors to customers. Building a high-converting web page is the core problem q-page is trying to solve.

Target marketInternet marketers, PPC consultants, website admins, entrepreneurs, startups

Because the pricing is cheap and startups tend to do things themselves (like building landing pages)All these are my assumptions. There

are no case studies or customer lists on q-page.com.

Pricing

Looks perfect for a PPC agency.

Not suitable for a single-founder website, but cheap anyway (“Why does someone need more than 1 page?”)

Second pricing tier

Is this a bootstrapped business out of an SEO/PPC agency?

On-Page SEO

Checked with seositecheckup.com

This can be the slow page load time I have experienced. (even for the tool it was 10.7 seconds)

Most rules are passed

Video content

They have a charismatic CEO who can talk English well. More videos are definitely doable.

Maybe too charismatic at this point. However, I don’t know what the mostly Russian audience wants. Things need to be tried out.

Video contentSpeed usage videos help see what the software does without entering the trial Example here.

YouTube

Nobody has YouTube under control. These recommendations distract visitors away from your content.

And in this case: content I did not want to see…

Landing page

Proper landing page with a lot of templates

Summary: visible marketing● [+] Product seem easy to use and mature.● [-] No real consistent marketing effort is visible.

SEO / SEM

Why is the pricing then so inexpensive (8 usd/m)?

Try beating leadpages in content marketing…

Not present / not found● PR● Blog● Integrations● Public speaking

Ideas from the book “Traction” (Weinberg)

Social Media Profiles

Started a year ago. Not promoted much

No twitter, which is a good channel to reach marketers.

Content marketingDo what LeadPages did:● Run a lot of tests and publish results● Speak on other people’s podcasts about these results● Give away tons of value for free

Niche downMake templates for specific industries. No dentist would buy another software if Q-page is the “expert in high-converting pages for dentists”.

Then: educate exactly that industry with all kinds of problems they face in their marketing.

Offer it for freeOffer the software for free in exchange for a testimonial. Seek to get data-driven testimonials, ideally from people using PPC

Integrate itBuild APIs to other software like Mailchimp etc. Find out what APIs the competitors do not have and offer a solution to the market.

Next steps for Q-page● Focus on the one thing that Q-page can do better. Stress it and prove

results.● Publish these results in text content and video● Find one marketing channel that works and scale it up

Can you check my SaaS?

Yes, if you have a marketing budget but are not sure if your actions are effective.
