The Public Safety Wireless Fiber Transport Link by Optical Zonu is a simple, cost‐effective and reliable interfacility link for Public Safety and Two‐Way radio networks. Each link supports multichannel RF from 100 – 1000 MHz independent of modulation technology. The high dynamic range of the fiber optic transceivers ensures a transparent pass through with no distortion or mixing. The PSW FTL combines multiple Tx and Rx wireless bands and services on single fiber links for point‐to‐point applications such as connection to a distributed antenna system headend. Composite services or single channels can also be routed over dedicated fibers to multiple locations for distributed coverage system connection. Up to five transceivers can be deployed in a 1U high rack mount chassis and these units can be stacked as needed. The uplink path includes a low noise preamplifier to provide increased sensitivity to low level signals and an input limiter protects the system from transient high power portables and mobiles. The link features a 0 dB RF loss in both directions (with a short optical jumper) to simplify design and set up.
