CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY DOCTORATE

The students work on placements for the 3 year course in St John of Gods or within the Health Board and get block releaseEach academic year and then day release each week to attend lectures.

assessment, management, treatment and needs of people with head injuries and other neurological disorders.

Occupational Psychology

Occupational psychologists are concerned with the performance of people at work and in training, how organisations function and how individuals and small groups behave at work.

Some psychologists train in Psychotherapy but it is not yet an accredited area

There are many theoretical frameworks for treating a wide range of mental/emotional and sometimes physical conditions e.g. Freudian, Gestalt, Jungian etc.
