DESCRIPTION

A quick and casual presentation I gave last week to the board on how we generate and manage prospects at SMS. Very light on detail. A more concise presentation is in the works.

TRANSCRIPT

1. Idea!2. Marketing TL inputs a project into the Contact Manager and submits that project for President approval.3. President approves the project.

1. The Copywriter starts working with the TL on the content and with Design on the creative.

2. Each piece goes through several rounds of revisions.3. Carrier approval is required in most cases. Design handles this with each carrier.4. Final sign off sheet is routed to the TL, the Copywriter, and IT Manager for one last

look and corrections.

The BUTTON is pushed to put the data into a location to be used for the project by IT.

The data is loaded into the “NetAtlantic System”.

Email is loaded into NA system andtested . . . and tested again . . . and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and tested again . . .and scheduled. . .and sent!

1. Import the new list into a database2. Match the list by email address to the agentadv database3. Match the email address to the landing page source records

1. Create a list of all new prospects and landing page sources for the TL’s and Pam to assign to MC’s

MC assignments are made and reported back to IT for reporting purposes

Since we started using NetAtlantic and the Landing Pages to drive agents to our system. SMS has captured 130 totally new agents since March 12th, 2008 when we first launched the use of the system.

The Future

Integrate this whole process into the Contact Manager.

Which would give TL’s more availability and real-time reporting on each of the Field Communications. Currently the process is 90% manual. As of today the project is 87% specified. The goal is to complete the specifications by the end of June.
