PROGRAM

With increasing numbers of disasters occurring in diverse settings worldwide, andresearch revealing the extent of distress experienced by communities, it is essential to

provide policy and programs to address needs related to disaster risk and recoveryregarding both structural and psychosocial resilience. A unique approach to achieving a

coordinated and comprehensive response to disasters is presented that integrateseffective on-the-ground trainings and workshops with survivors, with new application of

technology tools, A.I  and robotics. These tools allow responses to be immediate andcomprehensive. The goals are to combine human and AI resources to solve complex issues

during and after a disaster to "build back better," alleviate suffering, and reduce costs topeople and governments of disaster emergency response and recovery, in efforts to fulfill

the objectives of the Sendai Framework and the United Nations 2030 Agenda forSustainable Development.

This Innovation Platform session brings together experts and practitioners from the

frontlines to explore the topics and present real-life examples of applications of innovativetechniques and new models of holistic approaches to implementation of the Sendai
