How We Started

• In the late 1970's, the owners were trying to make their living running an industrial cleaning company.

• They hated the mess caused by absorbent clay at a local plant (they were losing their shirts with how long it took to clean the site).

• After many attempts, they made a substitute that worked really well: ground-up corn cob stuffed it inside a pair of pantyhose. It was easy to use and pick up.

• New Pig was founded in Tipton, Pennsylvania, in 1985.

• Customers at 200,000 sites in 40 countries.
