What is SEPA v.2.0?

SEPA is an harmonized Web platform that provides all the information linked to the contracts of projects financed by the World Bank (WB) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

It is the new instrument to prepare, review and approve the Procurement Plan of a project.

It is a Management tool that shows the planning details and the state of advance of the projects that integrate the investment portfolio of the WB / IDB in a specific country

Why SEPA v.2.0?

Governments and International Financial Institutions (IFI’s) interest in improving:

Planning and monitoring of public investment

Transparency and auditing in the projects financed by the IFI’s

Specific Objectives of SEPA v.2.0

Improving the ability of the Government in monitoring the work flow and processes of the projects between the Bank and the Client

Providing in detail, on time and with high quality, contract information , creating an environment of transparence and confidence with the society.

What can I see with SEPA v.2.0?

The Procurement Plan for each project, including dates and estimates costs of each contract

The names of the bidders, amounts and winning company’s name

The variations between planed and actual information

In which sectors are the resources invested on projects financed by the IFI’s

In which stage the process is at any moment

Beneficiaries of SEPA v.2.0

The private sector has access of information on planned activities of the projects.

The citizens have access to the information linked to the contracts of projects financed by the IFI’s.

The Government can use SEPA as a management and monitoring tool.

The IFI’s are be able to evaluate and take better decisions in the implementation of the projects.
